Five trends to love this spring

Here is a sneak peek at five trends to love and to look forward to wearing this spring.

Bright coat

Make a style statement with a bright coloured coat. Fuchsia, yellow, emerald, or red are among the colours to look for. Silhouettes are slightly shaped and to the knee length or just below.

Sleeves are full, sleeveless, or three-quarter length. As for colour combos, we have seen beautiful yellow and light pink, green and fuchsia, or red and dark purple. For more classic colour duos mix your piece with a neutral hue.

Fringe details

New Look

In shoes, bags, skirts, or tops, fringing details are once again a style crunch. This time around designers kept it elegant. A pair of tan sandals with fringing details is a stylish look if worn with a fresh white or cream wrap dress.

Wide leg trousers

This seventies inspired piece is back with a modern twist and is figure flattering. It is best to wear yours with wooden wedge heels or platforms and a structured top or loose T-shirt tucked in.

From canary to amber, vivid yellow to marigold, there is a yellow for everyone this season. To find out which shade suits you best, figure out what your skin tone is first. Yellow can be worn in a print (e.g.: florals), or teamed with a bold colour such as a pair of bright blue heels. Or tone it down with whites, khakis, or greys.

Everyone was doing denim on the catwalk. Denim is the must have fabric of the season. The good news is that it is a style that never fades so you can wear it again and again throughout the seasons. Double denim will be a coveted look for spring: skirt and shirt, denim coat with contrasting denim pockets, wide leg trousers with a denim jacket. The key to nail the look is to wear two different denim hues. Or wear your denim piece with contrasting textures, from knit to suede to cotton.
