Refresh and revive your closet this spring. Here is a sneak peek at what you will be wearing in the new season.
From a minty green blouse to a lilac dress, citrus bomber jacket, and blush pink coat, pastels will be everywhere this spring and are worn head-to-toe in similar hues, in mixed colours for the more daring, or paired with white pieces. A feminine trend, it can easily be toughened up with clever choice of modern cut pieces and stronger fabrics or details such as leather or oversized details.
Sheer detailing is one of the biggest trends. The trend is sexy without revealing too much flesh. The easiest way to nail this trend is to look for sweaters with sheer shoulder panels or arms, or skirts with mesh accents on the side or the hem. In accessories, look for shoes or jewellery with see-through details.
Typically reserved for evening time, this look is now repositioned for daytime so you can sparkle before the sun goes down. Sophisticated, chic, and very cool, I am in love with the shimmery fabrics and detailing. A metallic shirt with light knitted sweater and chic flats is a perfect look for smart casual. Sporty stuff This spring the sporty look is back. From tracksuit pants to luxe sweaters, tennis inspired dresses to flats; this look is athletic with a touch of chic. To avoid being too casual, pair luxe tracksuit pants with heels or a pencil skirt with trainers.
A perennial favourite, the floral print finds a romantic revival on the spring runways in floral motif trousers, pleated skirts, or bold accessories. This season’s florals are bolder and bigger. Soften the look with a plain shirt tucked inside a floral printed trousers and low heels.
Navy is spring’s best neutral. From head-to-toe to navy and white to a mix or two or three shades of navy accessorised with white; this season invest in a piece with navy and white combo, it never goes out of style.
